"We are not healers, we are not reconcilers; we are sinful, broken and vulnerable people who need as much care as anyone we care for. The mystery of ministry is that we have been chosen to make our limited and very conditional love the gateway for the unlimited and unconditional love of God" -Henry Nouwen

Who We Are

Most of you know us pretty well, but for those of you who don't, allow me to fill you in.....John and I met and started dating back in 1999- yeah, that makes me feel pretty old. We are high school sweethearts, dated through college and married in 2005. We have been relishing in marital bliss since then- gag, gag.....

John is a SRO (school resource officer) for Fred. T. Foard High School. He seems to like it pretty good- afterall, he does get to boss around a bunch of kids all day- those who know John know that the bossing around part comes pretty natural to him. He is a pretty wide-open guy and has been told often that he only has one speed- and it ain't slow. He likes to ride his dirt bike any chance he gets, likes to be outdoors and loves to do anything that involves working with his hands. I tell him all the time that he reason I married him is that he's so handy. Not totally true......

I'm a nurse and work for Gaston County as a Child Service Coordinator. My background is with babies and I decided I needed a change about 3 months ago- but I really, really, really miss my wonderful Frye nursery girls who are by far the best co-workers I have ever had! I enjoy cooking, reading, being crafty, decorating and watching movies. When it is warm outside- I'm happy as a clam sitting out in the sun and reading a good book. I'm the calmer, more introverted of the two of us. I'm the voice of reason :)

We have two adorable puggles (pug/beagle mix), Banjo and Tater. They are wide open! They are crazy! And they will probably hump your leg if given the chance :) But we love them regardless. They are our children.....and they are getting used to sharing the attention with Losha.
